I had some down time at work yesterday, and I didn’t have my laptop (missed Twitter), so I was surfing the web looking for some Photoshop tutorials. Along the way I found Brusheezy, which has a fabulous collection of Free brushes you can add to your Photoshop Library. I particularly liked the ones listed under “Grunge”, but you can also search for floral designs, technical, retro, etc. You can also search according to the version of Photoshop. Most of the authors of these brushes only ask that you let them know how you’ve used their work, which seems like an awfully generous gesture to me. New brushes are added frequently, so you’ll want to check in every so often to see what these creative minds are up to. The above “collage” is something I threw together to test some of the brushes I downloaded. Everything but the type “burning” is a brush. I’m sure with a little planning, I could make something a lot more interesting.
