italian still life

I’ve been neglecting the blog as I’ve been wasting a lot of time on Facebook, adjusting my settings, and peeping into other peoples’ lives. It can be addictive, and time flies. I will be bored soon, I think.
This photo is my first success shooting through the viewfinder of my Argoflex twin lens reflex. It’s more difficult than it initially appears, but with practice I hope to get the hang of it. Everything is reversed, so when you move the lens one way the image in the viewfinder goes in a different direction. I don’t have a setup for artificial lighting, so I have to wait for a brightly lit day. This is a basket and an old radio on my front porch. I shot this before I made a “contraption” to block excess light, so there’s a bit of glare in the photo.
My brother said this looked like an old Italian painting, so that’s where the name came from.
