argoflex Seventy-five

My new toy. I was recently introduced to TtV “Through the Viewfinder” photography. The idea is to focus a twin-lens reflex camera on a subject, and then to photograph the image that appears in the viewfinder with a digital camera. I bought this camera on eBay for less than $5. Argo camera company was based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and made this particular camera from about 1958 to 1964. It is made of metal and bakelite plastic. So far I’ve got a few good shots and a lot of bad ones. It’s a lot more work than it initially appeared to be!

Oh what a beauty! I’ve read about that kind of photography and seen some cool photos on flickr, but I haven’t tried it. Please post your efforts so we can have a look.
