brain fights
About a week ago I was reading Hanna’s blog, and learned about something called NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month. Well, I’ve gone and signed up for it.
Once upon a time, in my much younger days, I thought I wanted to write a book; you know the “Great American Novel” dream. I majored in journalism at college, wrote blurbs for the school paper and did a weekly online music review column for a few years, even kept a daily writing practice, but over the years the writing has faded into the background. I try to keep in practice by updating this blog on occasion, and by making quick notes of everyday events in my journal, but that’s about the limit of my writing. One side of my brain says “that’s good enough.” The other side says “no, fly into the cosmos with your keyboard!”
I decided to start exercising my wings.
