I’ve been doing “man’s work” today. I’ve learned a few good tips by watching the carpenters who have been working on the house, and today I applied a bit of what I’d learned to install some crown molding in a corner to conceal the bits of plaster that don’t quite line up. A bit of caulk to seal out the winter drafts and it’s ready to paint. I also used a post-hole digger to dig down almost two feet so we could install our new mailbox. I may actually acquire a few muscles from this home reconstruction.

I’m hoping to be able to get my office in order now that I’ve fixed the corner wall in there. Maybe I will even get around to making art again someday. In the meantime, I filled this black and white illustration by Aubrey Beardsley with color, using the paint bucket tool in Photoshop. I got some tips on using this tool from The Russell Brown Show Podcast.
