groundhog day
The groundhog saw his shadow in Pennsylvania today which means 6 more weeks of winter. Here in North Texas, though, there are signs of spring like this tiny blue flower, called speedwell, which is blooming among the debris of old leaves and dead grass clippings. I hope spring is speeding towards us, as I am tired of being cooped up indoors. Our old house is cold and it’s no fun.
I’m also tired of working long hours. I’ve been working ten-hour shifts since before Christmas, and last week we only had one day off. While the extra money is welcome, I would prefer to go back to an eight-hour workday. My brain is fried and I don’t like it.
