This is a detail from an old railroad car parked on a siderail in Celina, another town I visited for the first time.

Monday morning and I’m trying to wake up from hibernation mode. Rolling thunder crackled and exploded most of the night, accompanied by nearly nonstop lightning flashes. Poor Phoebe! Our sweet puppy is terrified of storms like this and she was restless, trying to find a place where she wouldn’t see the lightning. I usually open my closet door but she has yet to stay inside for more than a few moments. At 8:30 this morning the rain was still coming down and the thunder still filled the skies. All I wanted to do was stay in my little cave (under the bedcovers). Since I don’t have to be at work until 1:30 that’s exactly what I did. A whole hour wasted, but boy, did it feel good.
