corinth cemetery

Here’s the overgrown cemetery I found during my explorations on Friday. The plowed field next to it where I was standing to take this photo had a paper “no trespassing” sign precariously attached to a fencepost nearby, but a wire section had been removed or had never been put up as if to allow access to the cemetery. I have a feeling I won’t be shot if I stick to the cemetery’s premises. In my brief online research I’ve learned there was a church and a school adjacent to the cemetery at one time, and that the entire area consisted of three acres. The paragraph from a Collin County Genealogist also stated that she had never been able to find a deed for the cemetery in the county records, and it that’s true I don’t know how you’d find out who owns the property. I remembered there is a 110 outlet in my car and I’m going to see if our weed whacker will plug in and work. That would make clearing out the brush in this place an easier chore.
