Baseball scoreboard at the Princeton community park and old water tower that is all that’s left of a World War II POW camp that housed German prisoners. Princeton is about 6 miles east of McKinney on Highway 380. A woman I met at my art class on Saturday told me there was a junk yard in this area where interesting metal pieces could be found at a “per pound” cost. I drove all the way to Princeton without spotting it so I thought I’d drive around the town. I saw this water tower and drove toward it until I found the faded “POW Camp” sign with an arrow pointing the way. I didn’t have much time as it was getting close to “leaving time” for work but I managed to shoot a few photos and this was one I played with in Photoshop.
