Another reason to hate commuting….
I had to buy a new set of tires for my car this week. Oh, the joy of sacrificing $500 to the gods of goodyear and attending services at Discount Tires for an hour waiting for four worn (forlorn) black rubber donuts to be removed from my car and to be replaced with tires that have actual treads.
For the first time in my life I own Pirelli tires. Pirelli! what an exotic name. So different from your Firestone, Goodrich, or Continental. I know there was some song from my youth that mentioned “pirellis”, but I’ve been unable to remember it or to find it yet on google. I found a couple of recent rap songs that mention pirelli tires, so evidently they’re still the stuff of legend.
gotta admit, new tires feel good…they feel SAFE.
